Spring Training Baseball Camp Description Basic knowledge of the hitting process and proper sequence in fielding ground balls and fly balls will be covered. Instruction
provided for proper stance, grip, bat selection, and hitting mechanics. A series of drills will be presented, demonstrated and performed to and by
the participants to reinforce proper hitting mechanics. Infield and Outfield skills and drills will be presented that will
reinforce the necessary steps in properly fielding and throwing the ball with emphasis on throwing mechanics. There will be
group and individual attention provided each session. Each of the Fielding & Hitting camps will consist of 3 sessions, one session on each of the dates of
the Camp you register for. The sessions will be 1½ hours in length. Camps will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Camp emphasis on proper pitching mechanics to execute a pitch. Proper catching mechanics with through instruction
& drills. Emphasis also placed on arm strengthening to guard against injury and to recover from an injury sooner. Pitchers and catchers will receive instruction and drills on pitching strategy and pitch development. Catching
skills and drills will be demonstrated and performed to reinforce proper set-up, receiving, throwing, & blocking mechanics. The Pitchers & Catchers camp will consist of 3 sessions, one session on each of the dates. The sessions
will be 1½ hours in length. Camp will be filled on a first come first serve basis. Each of the camps will give players the opportunity to advance their skills through skill development
and repetition of drills. If you attend more than one of the Fielding & Hitting camps the coaches will challenge you with
advanced drills as well as your gaining the repetition of previously learned skills. |
